SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a 40-year-old man was arrested after police stopped a wrong-way vehicle that traveled 12 miles (19 kilometers) on a Phoenix-area freeway early Thursday.
The state Department of Public Safety said Kevin David Staab of Scottsdale was arrested in Tempe by Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community police after the wrong-way vehicle was first spotted on the Loop 101 freeway in Scottsdale.
Staab was arrested and jailed on suspicion of aggravated DUI and endangerment.
No collisions were reported.
Online court records don't list a defense attorney for Staab who could comment on the allegations.
