Drexel Heights Fire District holds fire and fall prevention class for older adults

TUCSON, Ariz. — Drexel Heights Fire District is holding presentations for older adults on fire and fall prevention, the “Senior Safety Academy” Tuesday.

The presentation is from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the DHFD’s training classroom located at 5030 South Camino Verde.

All older adults are encouraged to join, pre-registration is recommended to reserve a spot.

The class will teach older adults how to protect themselves from fire and falls. A hands-on experience with how to use fire extinguishers will be included.

Pima Council on Aging will present on fall prevention on their “Matter of Balance” program.

The program will continue on the first two Wednesdays in the month of February on the 5th and 12th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
