TUCSON, Ariz. — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal crash that happened on State Route 83 last month.
According to DPS, on February 23, troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at 7:42 p.m. involving a Jeep and an SUV.
The driver of the SUV was declared dead on-scene. She has been identified as 29-year-old Maria Butler of Tucson.
The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
DPS says impairment is being investigated as a factor on the part of the Jeep driver.
