TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A tradition that has been in place for more than 20 years brought presents and cheer to children staying in hospitals this Christmas season.
Today, the Department of Public Safety along with the help of Santa Claus helped bring small gifts to children at the Tucson Medical Center.
Troopers tagged along with Santa to deliver gifts and holiday spirit to the children and their families staying in the hospital.
Sgt. Charlie Serino with DPS has been doing the event for several years and said it is always an emotional experience.
Santa and his helpers spent the morning at TMC and then made their way over to Banner UMC in the afternoon.
