MESA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport on Wednesday.
The rally will occur one day after Trump and other Republican presidential candidates take part in a CNN/Salem Radio debate in Las Vegas.
According to Trump's website, the event will be held in a private hangar at the airport at 12:00 p.m. on December 16. Doors will open at 10 a.m.
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway airport told ABC15 that Trump's campaign visited the airport with Secret Service to scout the area.
"I hope that Donald Trump does not bring his hateful message of division and intolerance back to Phoenix," said Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton. "He has a First Amendment right to spew vile rhetoric, but his brand of increasingly overt racism is in complete contrast to our values as a city."
