TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A dognapper has struck the local Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
Deputy Courtney Rodriguez, spokesperson with the Pima County Sheriff's Department says that on March 5, a dog was stolen from the Humane Society located at 3450 N. Kelvin Boulevard around 11:45 p.m.
Deputies are unclear how the suspect entered the facility. He damaged a security camera and forced his way into the dog’s kennel, said Rodriguez.
The suspect is described as a man last seen wearing a baseball cap, camouflage pants, white shoes, a white t-shirt, and glasses.
The dog is a one-year-old male Basenji mix, approximately 30 to 40 pounds, brown in color with dark fur around its ears and mouth and a white spot on the front of his chest.
Anyone with information about this incident or the possible identity of the suspect is urged to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
