A dirt bike rider was killed following a crash in Vail on Thursday night, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
Deputy Cody Gress said they received a call just before 7 p.m. of a collision between a dirt bike rider and a minivan near the intersection of North Calle Rinconado and East Limestone Drive.
Gress said the rider, a man, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The female driver of the minivan stayed on scene following the crash.
Authorities are on scene investigating at this time.
