DETROIT, Mich. - Detroit Meteorologist Jessica Starr took her own life, Fox 2 announced Thursday.

The station said it was informed of the news Wednesday night.
Starr was a Michigan native who received two meteorology degrees from Michigan State University and Mississippi State University.
