A suspect was taken into custody after a homicide early Saturday morning 1500 block of E. Prince Road.

Officers got a call around 4:30 a.m. from a woman who said there were gunshots being fired inside her home.

She was able to escape the house and meet with police outside. The woman told officers she lives at the home with her brother and didn't know what was happening inside the house since she came outside.

The woman told officers her car had been stolen.

Police went into the home and found a man who was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was identified as 31-year-old Jose Hurtado, the brother of the woman who made the 9-1-1 call.

Detectives came to the home to further investigate and determined that the estranged husband of the woman was involved in the shooting.

Police found the estranged husband, 35-year-old Jesus Harmon, at an Oro Valley home and took him into custody.

The woman's car was located and recovered a short distance from her home.

Harmon was booked into the Pima County Jail on the following charges; 1st Degree Murder, 1st Degree Burglary, Attempted 1st Degree Murder/Domestic Violence, and Prohibited Possessor.

Detectives are continuing to investigate.
