A man was arrested and charged with sexual assault after an incident that happened on July 16 after an Uber drive.
At around 5 a.m. deputies responded to the report of sexual assault. A female Uber driver told deputies she was sexually assaulted by a male customer who she picked up in the 2700 block of W. Avenida Azhar.
She said she was sexually assaulted after they reached his destination near the 7000 block of E. Sunrise Drive.
Sex Crimes Unit detectives were able to identify the suspect as 31-year-old Chris Thomas Gomez.
Gomez was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.
