They believe these men have placed skimmers at gas stations across Tucson and Phoenix as well. Specific stations in Tucson that may be affected have not been named.
The suspects Pose as gas station employees or gas pump repair man while they place the skimmers into the pumps.
Here are some tips so you can protect your information it next time you fill up:
1. Pull on the slot where you put your credit card in. This will help you spot skimmers placed directly into the credit card slot if it appears loose.
2. Check for "spy cameras." Thieves will place pinhole cameras over the pin pad to get your debit card information.
3. Use the pumps closest to the clerks.
4. Ask a clerk how often they check for skimmers at the station.
5. Never use a debit card at a gas station.
If you recognize the men in the photo or believe you're a victim, call the Attorney General's Office at (602) 542-7942.
