TUCSON, Ariz. - Pima County Sheriff's deputies rescued a woman who was stranded while driving an ATV Wednesday.
According to the department, a 38-year-old woman made an emergency call after getting lost in a remote desert area southeast of town. She said she had been driving for hours without food or water and was feeling sick from the heat.
Deputies obtained the grid coordinates and search and a rescue unit responded.
The crew found her northwest of Hilton Ranch Road and brought her to safety.
