CLARKDALE, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies with the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office made a very special rescue on March 16.
Deputies were called an area outside of Clarksdale for reports of a miniature horse being stuck in a cattle guard in the roadway.
With the help of a cattle hand and the YCSO Animal Control, deputies worked to free the horse.
"Coffee" suffered a minor flesh wound on one of his legs which is what caused the horse to fall into the cattle guard.
The ranch hand safely returned the horse to a secure area on the ranch.
A vet arrived a short time later to check on Coffee’s injury.
