Deputies are asking for help in locating a man who assaulted a Circle K clerk.
On September 10, deputies responded to the Circle K located at 5818 South Palo Verde Road for a report of an assault.
When deputies arrived, they discovered a man had approached the store clerk who was standing outside and proceeded to punch the clerk multiple times in the face.
The victim told deputies the suspect claimed to have been upset with the clerk for not providing a courtesy cup to him about a week prior, according to the media release. The suspect was then scared away by the victim’s friend, who witnessed the event.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, possibly in his 30's, with short brown hair, and a goatee. He is approximately 5’8” to 5’10” in height, medium build, and last seen wearing a dark gray long-sleeved button down shirt, black pants, and carrying a black backpack.
Detectives are asking for the help from the public in identifying the suspect and are asking anyone with information to call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
