TUCSON, Ariz. — The Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating a crash involving a motorcycle and passenger vehicle on the southwest side Sunday morning.
Deputies responded to the area of Valencia Road at Ignacio M. Baumea near Casino Del Sol around 7 a.m. for a crash involving a minivan and a motorcycle, according to PCSD. Shortly after arrival, the motorcyclist 47-year-old Jose Arvizu, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic Unit detectives responded to the scene to continue the investigation.
According to PCSD, the driver of the minivan , 44-year Mario Humo, was charged with manslaughter and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.
The investigation is ongoing. Details will be released as they become available.
