Pinal County Sheriff's deputies identified a man who died Tuesday in a single-vehicle wreck in Oracle.

Deputies say 70-year-old Gerold Flick died after his 2004 Kia Rio crashed at the intersection of American Avenue and Our Way in Oracle.

"The car was found on its side with smoke coming out of it, however, there were no witnesses to the incident. Deputies found the driver deceased in the car," Sheriff Paul Babeu said in a statement. "There were no other occupants. The deputies investigating the incident will try to gather physical evidence from the scene to determine what happened, but, since there were no witnesses, it may not be possible to know for sure what happened. We will work with the medical examiner’s office to determine if there were any medical issues that may have contributed to the crash."

Those with information should call 520-866-5111.
