Deputies arrest serial robber

The Pima County Sheriff's Department has arrested 32-year-old Christopher Hunt-Taylor for a series of robberies.

Beginning in August, eight robberies took place that spanned three law enforcement jurisdictions. It was believed to be the same suspect, said Deputy Ryan Inglett a spokesperson with PCSD.

In each of the robberies a heavyset man, wearing a camouflage mask, armed with a black handgun and would leave the scene in a silver older model Hyundai Sonata.

Detectives from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Marana Police Department, and the Tucson Police Department began working together to locate the suspect. 

There was another robbery at the Subway located at 5095 North La Canada Drive this morning.

Marana Police Department located Hunt-Taylor at the InTown Suites located at 4314 West Ina Road, who matched the description provided in all eight robberies.

A search warrant was obtained and items of evidence linking Hunt-Taylor to the robberies.

Hunt-Taylor was arrested on four counts of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery in connection with the robberies in Pima County Sheriff’s Department’s jurisdiction.

Additional charges are pending for robberies in Marana Police Department and Tucson Police Department’s jurisdiction.
