Deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department have arrested a man after he allegedly kidnapped a woman and sexually assaulted her, according to a news release.
PCSD says on Thursday deputies responded to the Food City at 2950 South 6th Avenue for a report of a sexual assault.
As deputies arrived, they learned a woman was kidnapped by a man wielding a gun. The woman was driven to an unknown location and sexually assaulted.
Deputies say after the assault, the victim was dropped off at a fast food restaurant where she called 9-1-1.
Detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit were called to investigate and they identified 44-year-old Calvin Lee Fox.
Detectives met with Fox and charged him with one count of sexual assault and one count of kidnapping.
Fox was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.
The investigation is still ongoing at this time.
