Department of Justice grants will affect Arizona

The Department of Justice is announcing more than $70 million will be allocated to support school safety nationwide.

Of that lump sum, Arizona is receiving more than $830,000 to help fund mental health training to educate students and faculty.

The grants will also support law enforcement officers and first responders on the scene of school violence incidents.

Another $64 million will go toward improving criminal record systems in the U.S.
