A new Veterans Day tradition started today for the Quebedeaux Mitsubishi dealership in midtown.
The business will hold a flag-raising ceremony on the morning of Veterans Day every year.
The flag previously flown by the dealership was burned by vandals last week.
Reports of the vandalism went viral and several offers for donations to buy a new flag pour in from across the country. But the dealership instead paid to replace the one that had been there for decades.
The flag raising ceremony Saturday morning was emotional for all who were present. Even people passing by stopped to salute the massive 25 x 40-foot flag.
