TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) -The 21st season of ABC's Dancing With The Stars is over, but one of it's pro's is not stopping there. Professional dancer Sasha Barber is in Southern Arizona for the weekend. He appeared on the show in several seasons as he danced with celebrities like Nastia Liukin and Snooki Polizzi.
He's in town training a local ballroom dancer for a special performance this weekend.
"It was just such a good opportunity I couldn't pass it up," said dancer Jan Froeschie. "You know, how often does a dance celebrity from dancing with the stars come to Tucson to teach someone to dance?"
Sasha and Jan are set to perform a cha cha at the Dane Among the Stars show on Saturday. They started choreography today and have already made a lot of progress.
"Today is Jan's first day and she pretty much nailed it," said Sasha. "I mean I taught her the whole dance in like an hour-and-a-half. Then we're gonna rehearse and preform it and make sure its right and make sure she's having fun."
