Golder Ranch Fire District took part in a hiker rescue in Catalina State Park Saturday afternoon.

The patient was treated for heat exhaustion, packaged, and carried out and taken to a nearby hospital in under two hours. They were 2 miles in on one of the hiking trails.

The Southern Arizona Rescue Association & Pinal County Sheriff's Office were also a part of the rescue.

Remember to avoid hiking during the heat of the day, always go with a group, and to drink lots of water.
