UPDATE: Road reopens following crash involving Pima County Sheriff's deputy

UPDATE (12:22 p.m.):

According to a social media post from Pima County Sheriff's Department, all lanes at West Cortaro and North Thornydale have reopened.

The deputy is OK and the other driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries, the post said.

The deputy was responding to a call when the driver of the other vehicle allegedly attempted to go around cars that were yielding to let the deputy through the intersection.

The crash resulted in the deputy vehicle rolling over, the post said.

A crash involving a Pima County Sheriff's Department deputy has led to the closure of all southbound Thornydale Road lanes at Cortaro Farms Road.

Eastbound Cortaro Farms Road is restricted to one lane, according to a social media post from PCSD.

The deputy is fine, PCSD said.

Drivers should avoid the area.
