Police identify victim in deadly Thursday wreck

TUCSON, Ariz.-- Police identify victim in the deadly Thursday wreck.

Melvin Ingram, 24, died after him and his passenger were ejected from their vehicle Thursday May 2 in Midtown. Neither occupants were wearing seat belts.

Both men were transported to the hospital with injuries, Ingram was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to Tucson Police Department the crash occurred in the 3000 block of N Fontana.

TPD confirmed Ingram was driving at a high rate of speed south bound on Fontana when he lost control of the car at the intersection of East Delano Street, driving over a curb, hit a mailbox and the end of a concrete block wall, causing the vehicle to roll over.

As of now, there is no further information if Ingram was driving impaired.

TPD would like to remind drivers to make sure all occupants of the car are wearing seat belts.
