Interstate 10 eastbound reopend around 10:30 p.m. Friday night after it was closed at Alvernon Way due to a two-vehicle fatal crash.
Officials from the Arizona Department of Public Safety say the collision was between a commercial motor vehicle and a passenger vehicle.
DPS says the victim was trapped after the collision as the vehicle burst into flames. The identity of the victim and the vehicle are pending.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, traffic can re-enter I-10 at Valencia Road.
