Phoenix Fire is on scene of a crane that toppled onto its side near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
The incident happened near the West Economy Lot, west of Terminals 2, 3 and 4 around 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
Phoenix fire said one person is unaccounted for after the crane toppled over. The condition of the individual is unknown at this time.
Due to the crane being on its side, it will take time for firefighters to determine if this will be a rescue or recovery mission.
According to Sky Harbor, the incident happened at a construction site for the PHX Sky Train. If you are traveling in or out of Sky Harbor, airport operations are not impacted.
