COTTONWOOD, Ariz. (AP) - Cottonwood police officers are investigating a fatal shooting that may have been drug-related.
The Cottonwood Police Department reported that a 27-year-old Goodyear man died in the shooting. He has not yet been identified.
Officers detained four people found in a vehicle suspected to have fled the home where the Friday night shooting occurred.
Police say another man outside the home was bleeding from deep lacerations on his head. He told officers three men pushed open the door to the home and shots were fired in the ensuing fight.
The man told officers he and his friend ran and a female in a red SUV tried to crash into them.
Police say the shooting stemmed from a property dispute and that drugs may have been involved.
Two suspects face murder charges.
