Convenience store robber turns himself in

Tucson police say that 35-year-old Peter Dilyou who is suspected of robbing a Circle K and assaulting the clerk turned himself into police Tuesday evening.

Police say Dilyou robbed a Circle K at 1675 N. Wilmot Road at 2:15 a.m. July 22.

The clerk recognized the man as a past shoplifter and approached him. The suspect assaulted the clerk, who tried to get away and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Through various tips and evidence police identified Dilyou as a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for him.
