Fire crews are battling the College Peak Fire on State Trust land just east of Douglas. Deputies have arrested Enrique Hernandez-Oropeza in connection with the blaze.
He faces three counts of reckless burning. Additional charges are pending.
The wildfire has burned around 1,292 acres. The fire is burning in grass and brush and there is no threats or concern to the public.
Forty percent of the fire has been contained.
The fire started yesterday morning and it not threatening any structure at this time.
