FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Coconino County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence incident earlier this morning.
The incident took occurred around 7:00 a.m. in Doney Park area.
Upon arrival deputies located a female with stab wounds. The woman died on scene. The suspect was not found at the scene.
The woman was taken to Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
The woman was identified as 35-year-old Crystal L. Morgan.
The suspect was later located in a vehicle traveling southbound on interstate 17 near McGuireville exit.
Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and the Arizona Department of Public Safety conducted a traffic stop.
Northern Arizona law enforcement were also called to assist in the suspects whereabouts.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked into Coconino County Detention Facility on charges of first degree homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The suspect has been identified as 38-year-old Timothy M. Duran.
The investigation is still on going. No further information has been given at this time.
