TUCSON, Ariz. — The Cochise County Sheriff's Office said a man was found dead in his jail cell Monday morning.
According to a press release, the Tombstone Marshal's Office booked John O'Connor into the Cochise County Jail Monday at midnight on charges of driving under the influence.
During a check around 9:15 a.m. Monday, O'Connor was found unresponsive in his holding cell. He was taken to Copper Queen Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives are conducting an investigation. No foul play is suspected at this time.
