TUCSON, Ariz. — The unveiling of the city's newest water treatment facility celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday morning.
The facility is near the Silverbell Golf Course, and will help our community become more sustainable with the use of remediated water.
Officials say the majority of customers for remediated water are parks, schools, and golf courses.
It's used for turf and landscape irrigation it's also an educational opportunity for decades we've had the educational opportunity around recycled water, and reclaimed wastewater, a now we get to add to that the component of remediated ground water.
The water from the Silverbell Pump and Treat facility will serve about 1,000 customers around Tucson.
