City to hold community meetings on Tucson Water rate hike

A series of public meetings on proposed water rate hikes are set to begin Tuesday, March 10th.

Tucson Water says it has proposed water rate changes for FY2021-2024, which would take effect on July 6, 2020, if approved by the Mayor and City Council. The proposed hike would be 5.5%.

A public hearing is scheduled at the May 5 meeting of Tucson’s Mayor and Council.

Here are a list of meetings:

  • Tuesday, March 10, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m, Valencia Branch Library, 202 W. Valencia Road
  • Thursday, March 12, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Randolph Center, 900 S. Randolph Way
  • Tuesday, March 24, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Udall Center, 7200 E. Tanque Verde Road
  • Thursday, March 26, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Online; customers may text/submit questions
