Thanksgiving is over and many families are getting ready to put up their Christmas trees but this year's trees could cost you a little more green.
This year, there's a Christmas Tree shortage.
The National Christmas Tree Association blames the 2007 recession for this years tree shortage.
Kelly Sauer, owner of Kelly and Brian Christmas Trees says she's been in the business for more than 20 years and personally handpicks the trees she sells.
The trees seeing the shortage are the Noble tree which Sauer says, are the most popular.
Sauer says corporate stores are to blame. "Years and years of misordering by big box stores is my own personal experience and we're a small business so we know exactly what we need and when it should come in."
Because of supply and demand - prices for trees can possibly go up at least 5%.
