Children donate polar bears to Tucson Fire

Posted

Several children from the Tucson Country Club Summer Camp are donating stuffed polar bears to the Tucson Fire Department Monday.

The kids are donating 15 of the toys so firefighters can pass them on to other kids. The initiative is the brainchild of WeeWork for Good.

"The kids chose the Tucson Fire Department as the place they wanted their stuffed bears to go to, because they were touched to hear that firefighters often help children in traumatic situations," said Brandis Heimann, Childcare Services Coordinator at Tucson Country Club, in a statement.
