FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - Pinal County authorities say one child is dead and three others, including the mother and two children, were injured in a collision.
Pinal County Sheriff's spokesman Mark Clark says the crash happened on Arizona Farms Road near Hunt Highway just before 9 p.m. Friday.
According to Clark, a Dodge pick-up truck rear-ended a small sedan that was carrying the entire family.
One child was pronounced dead at the scene.
The mother and two other children suffered severe injuries and were flown to a trauma center.
Their conditions were not immediately known Saturday.
The driver of the pick-up suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision shut down the roadway for several hours.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
No citations or arrests have been issued so far.
