FLORENCE, Ariz. (AP) - Pinal County authorities say one child is dead and three others, including the mother and two children, were injured in a collision.

Pinal County Sheriff's spokesman Mark Clark says the crash happened on Arizona Farms Road near Hunt Highway just before 9 p.m. Friday.

According to Clark, a Dodge pick-up truck rear-ended a small sedan that was carrying the entire family.

One child was pronounced dead at the scene.

The mother and two other children suffered severe injuries and were flown to a trauma center.

Their conditions were not immediately known Saturday.

The driver of the pick-up suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision shut down the roadway for several hours.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
