A child is dead following a vehicle accident in Nogales, according to Sgt. Robert Fierros of Nogales Police.
Nogales Police are on scene at the Walgreen's parking lot in the 1900th block of Grand Avenue.

NPD says at 3:40 p.m. they received a 9-1-1 call of a vehicle accident with injuries at the Walgreen's parking lot on the 1900th block of North Grand Avenue.
Responding officers discovered that a pickup truck struck a 2-year-old boy that was walking through the parking lot.
The truck was being driven by a 41-year-old woman who stayed on scene.
The boy was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead by emergency room staff.
The boy's immediate family was notified of his death at the hospital.
The driver of the truck was detained by police for suspicion of impaired driving. She is still in police custody at this time.
NPD remains on scene investigating this deadly collision.
