TUCSON, Ariz. — "Celebrating 100 wise, witty, wonderful years, that's what it said on the cake for Virginia Poynter 100th birthday party.
She says one the best parts about living to be 100 is being surrounded by friends.
Virginia Poynter says "I still think that the secret of having a whole bunch of friends is to be friendly myself, and maybe make the first move toward being friendly."
Family and friends joined Poynter at her independent living community to celebrate this major milestone.
