The Cochise County Sheriff's Office was investigating reports of an accident at the Carr Canyon falls Friday.
According to CCSO, 4 minors were in Carr Canyon when one of them slipped and fell several hundred feet. The group consisted of two 16-year-old girls, one 16-year-old boy, and a 9-year-old boy.
The Sheriff's Office says that 16-year-old Jaidee Austin was helping one of the girls who had slipped near the top of the falls, before slipping himself and falling down the falls.
Medical personnel was able to reach him and he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is being continued by the Cochise County Sheriff's Office.
