A U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer died in a crash Friday night in Rio Rico.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Edgard Garcia was heading southbound on I-19 when for an unknown reason traveled through the median across northbound traffic and hit a tree.
DPS said Garcia was wearing a seatbelt.
