CBP catch meth smuggler near Port of Naco

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers caught a woman attempting to smuggle 55 pounds of meth near the port of Naco on Sunday.

Per a press released from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the woman was 21years old, a Mexican national and had placed the meth in 50 packages hidden throughout her SUV. Specifically, in the vehicle’s rocker panels and rear cargo storage area.

BP agents had pulled her over on Sunday morning when she was referred for inspection.

The drugs seized were estimated to be worth nearly $166,000.

The woman was arrested and charged for narcotics smuggling, the turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
