U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a 29-year-old man from Agua Prieta, Son. who allegedly tried to smuggle 275 pounds of marijuana across the border near Douglas Wednesday.
According to the CBP, the packages were hidden inside the vehicle, as well as the exterior, including tires.
Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and turned the suspect over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
