Caridad Community Kitchen celebrates newly expanded facility

Caridad Community Kitchen celebrated its newly expanded facility will make it possible to increase the number of prepared meals.

According to the media release, the expansion marks a huge step forward for the Caridad Culinary Training program. The program which empowers individuals with new culinary job skills, confidence, and expertise to get ahead in the job market.

The program allows students to prepare free community meals in a commercial kitchen.

The number of meals will expand from 168,000 meals a year to 500,000 meals annually, according to the media release. These include after-school dinners for children and meals for seniors and the homeless.

Caridad Community Kitchen is a program of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
