Three people are in the hospital after a two-car collision near Trico and Silverbell Road, according to a news release from the Avra Valley Fire District.
Crews responded to the accident at 7 p.m. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and a total of four passengers were involved in the collision.
Three were transported to Banner University Medical Center in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
The fourth passenger refused medical care.
Avra Valley Fire says traffic is slow in the area but not blocked.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident.
