Deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department responded to a call of a school bus that was stuck in a wash in the 1600 block of Old Vail Road.
Deputy Ira Sewell, spokesman for PCSD says they received a call about the bus in the wash around 5:30 p.m.
Sewell says the bus has been pulled from the wash and is still operable.
Mary Veres, spokeswoman for Sunnyside School District confirms the bus that got stuck in the wash was a bus in the Sunnyside district.
Veres says no children were on board during the time of the incident, the bus became stuck after the driver had finished his routes.
The driver was the only one on board during the time of the incident.
He was not injured during the incident.
Deputies say it appears someone had moved the "road closed" signs, they are not sure who moved the signs.
Veres said the bus got stuck in a soft patch of sand and was able to be removed quickly.
