TUCSON, Ariz. -- Tucson Fire is investigating a building fire in the 1200 block of 6th Avenue that happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

TFD says there were mutliple calls about the flames, including one that thought the fire was coming from a church.

Firefighters determined the fire was coming from a block building and after a search, they found no one was inside. Crews were able to put out the flames before they spread to other buildings.

No word on a cause to the fire. The Red Cross is not assisting since no one was living in the building.
