BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Buckeye say a man who died in a crash involving two motorcycles was an Illinois man living in Phoenix and reportedly serving in the Army Reserves.

They say 19-year-old Edgar Miguel Acevedo was pronounced dead at a hospital Sunday.

Police say the two motorcyclists were on a ride with a group of friends south of Interstate 10 when two motorcycles went down.

Acevedo sustained severe injuries while the other man was injured but alert and talking to first responders.

Police say both riders were transported by ground ambulance to a hospital.

The name of the other man hasn't been released, but police say his injuries didn't appear to be life-threatening.

Police say the crash remains under investigation.
