After a tragic fatal accident in the Drexel Heights neighborhood, a Tucson man's family is speaking out.

Daniel Martinez, 48, was killed on Monday morning after a bee swarm attack while he was working.

His younger brother, Abel Cabrera was at work when he received the devastating phone call that his older brother, Danny had died.

The accident has left the family at a loss for words.

Cabrera says his big brother was kind, humble and caring, "He always helped everyone."

Martinez loved three things: his family, working, and going to church.

Heading to work Monday morning was no different for Martinez, except, this time the hard working family man wouldn't return home.

"You go to work expecting you're going to make something to provide for your family. Not to lose your life," said Cabrera tearfully.

Africanized bees killed Martinez after he was stung thousands of times while working at a home located on Camino De La Tierra and Valencia.

Officials say the two hives weighed more than 150 pounds and had been growing for more than six months.

His family says, if he knew those hives were there - he would have never gone to the home.

"Daniel would not have tried because he didn't like bees. He was afraid of them," says sister-in-law, Denise Cabrera.
