TUCSON, Ariz. — Construction crews are set to begin work Sunday morning on Broadway starting from Euclid to Campbell.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Crews will begin work by closing the south end of Broadway from Euclid to Campbell.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane of travel, just north of Broadway and west of Tyndall will be open to allow traffic to access Euclid.

The beginning stages of the project include widening the south side of the roadway from Fremont to Highland and form Warren to Campbell. The closure is expected to last for two months.

Once the project is complete there will be six travel lanes, landscaped medians, bike banes, sidewalks, HAWK crossings, and bus pullouts, according to the City of Tucson.

The Broadway-Euclid Avenue to Country Club Road Improvement Projects is scheduled to be complete by September 2021.
