History will be made next week at the 73rd sessions of the UN General Assembly.

According to CNN, K-Pop boy band BTS will deliver a three-minute speech during the launch ceremony.

The group previously worked with the UN on awareness and fundraising campaigns. In 2017, BTS joined with the Korean Committee for UNICEF to establish Love Myself, which works with UNICEF's global #ENDviolence against violence toward youth, Cat Wang with CNN reports.

South Korean first lady Kim Jung-sook will be among the leaders attending.

Formed in 2013, BTS is made up of seven members.

CNN reported in May that BTS became the first K-Pop group to top the US Billboard 200 with their album "Love Yourself: Tear."

The group's verified Instagram page currently has 13.3 million followers.
